Tickets, Country Concerts, Entertainment during Wrangler NFR

Las Vegas National Finals Rodeo, or Wrangler NFR week of December 5 - 14 is packed with great entertainment - country concerts all over the city, watch parties, afterparties, gift shows and other cool things to do. Since 1985, the event has come to Sin City featuring the top fifteen competitors in numerous events that range from bareback and saddle bronco riding to team roping and tie-down roping to steer wrestling and bull riding to the fastest barrel rider. All of the action can be seen live in person at the Thomas & Mack Center and if you don’t have a ticket to this raucous event then you can attend one of the viewing parties which are complemented by live country music, drink specials, and giveaways. This is the time of year in Sin City where you put your best boots, hat, and jeans on to go out on the Strip and enjoy some two-stepping and line dancing as well as all the action at the Super Bowl of Rodeos.

Thomas & Mack Center

The Thomas & Mack Center is the only place in Las Vegas for you to watch all of the rodeo action including bronco and bull busting of the Wrangler NFR. The arena transforms itself into a perfect place for the dirt to fly during the performances that last from December 5th through the 14th. Each night is sponsored by a different entity with giveaways at your seat and at the door when you enter. The sightlines at the arena are ideal for viewing all of the rodeo events and there is sure to be an entertaining clown or two to help keep the contestants safe. The arena offers numerous choices for food and drink with plenty of VIP seating available such as boxes and party suites. Get there early and take a stroll through the grounds where you can visit with contestants and their animals. Each is sure to bring all of the excitement that this world class event brings, so make sure you get in to watch the rodeo action.

Free Entertainment at Cowboy Corral

For the lucky ones that are going to the Thomas & Mack Center to watch all the interesting live rodeo events at the WNFR then you can go to the Cowboy Corral before and after to listen to some of country music’s best performers. Located adjacent to the arena within the Cox Pavillion, the free for event ticket holders takes place nightly. Starting at 5:00 p.m. you can go listen to andy Griggs & D’em Boyz each night before the exciting rodeo events start. After you watch all the fantastic action inside the arena, you can come back to the pavilion and do some line dancing to such musicians as the Brit Stokes Band and Sean Curtis and the Divide. Whether you go before or after or to both sessions of music, you are sure to be thrilled with all of the pleasant sounds coming from the stage.

Afterparty at The Mirage

An exciting place for you to watch all of the WNFR events on the largest HD projection screens in Las Vegas is at the Mirage. Every night of the event the hotel is offering drink specials and prime viewing of all the action in Mirage Race and Sports Book. You can proudly cheer on your favorite bronco buster while you indulge in numerous free giveaways during each performance. There are other locations within the property to view the rodeo action too like the Parlor Lounge, Rhumbar, The STILL, and the Center Bar. In addition, there is live entertainment from lots of country music stars including performances by Mitchell Tenpenny, Easton Corbin, the Casey Donahew Band, Riley Green, Mark Chesnutt, Lanco, and Chris Lane. Other activities at the hotel include a Jack Daniel’s Whiskey Dinner at Tom Colicchios’s Heritage Steak and if you have tickets to big rodeo events there is a complimentary shuttle to and from the Thomas & Mack Center.

Rodeo Week at Tropicana

One thing for sure is that the WNFR is going all in on competition and the Tropicana is going all in on Rodeo Week. There are some great events throughout the week to see and experience at the Tropicana as the world’s best rodeo stars converge on Las Vegas. One exciting event taking place is the 2019 Bullfighters Only Las Vegas Championship that pits the best freestyle bullfighters in the country compete for the crown over a nine day period. After the bullfights you can check-out the Hooey Jam at Robert Irvine’s Public House where you can listen to top country recording artists and indulge in tasty treats at this free event. In the evening you can attend the WNFR Viewing Party in the Cohiba Ballroom where there will be plenty of televisions, drink specials, and giveaways. If that’s not enough then hang around for the Gary Leffew’s Bucking Ball where you can country swing dance the night away to live country music. Other specials include discounted tickets to Legends in Concert and there is John Wesley Austin headlining all week at the Laugh Factory which will have you laughing in cowboy style.

Two of the more exciting rodeo events at NFR will take place at the Orleans Arena. Here you will get a chance to see some of the best barrel racers in the country as they fight for the right to advance to the 2020 American Semi Finals in barrel racing. The All in Barrel Races offer a ten day event with many different classes of barrel racers including youth and offers more than $700,000 in cash and prizes to winners. The other exciting event at the arena is the All in Breakaway Roping competition. Premier breakaway ropers from around the country will compete over three days with more than $100,000 up for grabs to the winners that also are guaranteed a spot in the 2020 American Semi Finals of All in Breakaway Roping.

South Point Hotel Casino

The Vegas Cowboy Central transforms the South Point Arena during WNFR which combines a bunch of activities that are family friendly. The schedule at Vegas Cowboy Central is packed from start to finish with the Miss Rodeo America Pageant kicking festivities off at the Priefert Pavilion a few days before hand. If you are interested in livestock sales then visit Benny Binion’s Bucking Horse and Bull Sale where you can bid on bulls, bareback horses, and saddleback horses. Families will be thrilled to view the John Wayne: Spirit of the West Interactive Exhibit which is open from start to finish and features numerous interactive exhibits about legendary John Wayne. Shoppers will be ready to pull the trigger on deals during the Cinch Western Gift Show that includes hundreds of vendors selling the latest in cowboy fashion. You can watch the Ariat World Series of Team Roping take place within the arena area Other items of interest at Vegas Cowboy is a WNFR viewing party daily where you can watch all the bone crunching rodeo events at several locations including the Grandview Lounge, Showroom, and the Ballroom. There is live music and dancing nightly as well as free country music concerts with stars like Josh Ward, Randall King, and Aaron Watson. There are many watch NFR parties around Sin City and at the watch parties at the New York-New York is slated to incredible. With their Big City’s Gone Country attitude for the week, you will find before and after parties at Ugly Coyote and the Nine Fine Irishmen where there will be drink specials galore. There is live entertainment on the schedule for each night from some of Las Vegas’s best country music bands where you can country swing or line dance all night long. Other interesting things happening will be different autograph signings by the bareback riding contestants and others at the Bar at Times Square.

The two-day festival at the one million square foot Las Vegas Festival Grounds is packed with plenty of exciting items like incredible artwork displayed around the facility that is interactive and some you can even climb. The music is accompanied by an interesting and entertaining 500 laser light drone that displays beautiful 3D multimedia effects throughout the indoor facility. You will find lots of food vendors, an area dedicated to interactive and Esports gaming, and drink specials throughout the festival. The music is going to be unique with 30 different headline acts covering all genres of music with performers like the Foo Fighters, Anderson.Paak, Kacey Musgraves, Beck, and more.

The Fremont Street Experience is always a must see when you visit Sin City and during the Wrangler NFR the street comes alive with stellar country music. Other interesting things to do at the Cowboy Christmas is to visit the Coors Rodeo Saloon to watch the previous days competition with food and drink, the RMEF Hunter & Outdoor Christmas Expo, NFR Central for autographs and live radio shows, Wrangler After Dark Concert Series, The Great Wall of Rodeo with interactive exhibits, Rodeo Way Exhibits from the biggest rodeos like the Calgary Stampede and Cheyenne Frontier Days, and you can checkout Rodeo Live by RodeoHouston which gives a recap of event results and live radio broadcast with all your favorite country music. In addition, you can catch the Junior World Finals presented by YETI at the Wrangler Rodeo Arena where there will be nine events for the younger cowboys to compete.

Eastside Cannery - NFR Watch Parties

Everyone like to watch a rodeo and the best place to watch all the calf roping, barrel racing, and bull riding, then head on over the Eastside Cannery. Every night during the NFR there is a watch party where you can catch all the excitement while indulging on your favorite drink. There will be daily drink specials at Marilyn’s Lounge where you will find plenty of big screens to watch the fun. In addition, there is free live nightly entertainment from some of Las Vegas’s favorite country music bands like the Ghost Town Riders and Brett Arthur Rigby & The B.A.R. Band. If you want to grab a couple of drinks and enjoy the daily action of the Wrangler NFR in a great location downtown then head over to the Downtown Grand. Every day during the competition there is daily drink special to enjoy while watching all the fun events on numerous televisions in every bar or you can go to the Official Wrangler NFR Viewing Party on the Grand Casino Floor. You can indulge in specials at three different bars including the Freedom Beat, Furnace Bar, and Art Bar. In addition, there is live entertainment scheduled for you to enjoy and if you have tickets to the big events, there is daily round trip shuttle service to the Rodeo.
