About The Rainbow Casino. Located inside Bristol's Harbourside Gala Casino, The Casino restaurant is a buzzy bar and grill that is always filled with a fun crowd. Relaxed in style, the restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate your luck at the roulette table and The Casino also attracts locals who love to pop by for a hearty meal.

The Gala Casino Bristol was formerly known as 'Harbourside' but has now been taken over and re-named the Rainbow Casino. I conducted this review just before the change-over so it references the original name although it is essentially the same casino and remains in the same location: a newly re-developed area of the Harbourside region of Bristol.

It might be that you’ve never thought of stopping by the casino for dinner or drinks, but it’s definitely worth seeking out. We visited on a Thursday evening to sample the Rainbow Experience – a great-value party package, which includes a drink on arrival, a three-course meal, after-dinner coffee or tea and a £10 gaming voucher.
We decided to start with a round of cocktails, sampling refreshing Mojitos and the ever-popular Long Island Iced Tea. The Rainbow Package includes a bottled beer or glass of wine, which we enjoyed with our meal. The food offering is varied, with an emphasis on British favourites, and a few Asian curries and noodle dishes. Spoilt for choice, we sampled a range of starters including creamy garlic mushrooms served on warm ciabatta, shell on rosso prawns, cooked in garlic and chilli, and aromatic duck pancakes.
The main courses were equally diverse. From perfectly cooked sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce and chunky chips to a create-your-own burger, there’s something to suit all palates. My vegetarian companion particularly enjoyed the chickpea, sweet potato and spinach curry which was accompanied with basmati rice and naan bread. Desserts at Rainbow Casino are a decadent affair. Despite being full from the first two generously portioned courses, we opted to share a traditional raspberry ripple Arctic roll – this was the perfect option to conclude a thoroughly enjoyable meal.
With polite and friendly yet unobtrusive hospitality, delicious food and the full casino experience on offer, Rainbow Casino is well worth a visit. You don’t have to be a member to access the restaurant but you must be over 18. Perfect for special occasions and parties as well as providing a fun-filled start to a night out, the Rainbow Experience package is a great introduction to the casino’s offering and the £10 gaming voucher is the icing on the cake.
Rainbow Casino promotes responsible gambling and operates a Think 21 policy; if you are lucky enough to look under 21 you will be required to show photographic ID.
